Freedom Never Tasted So Good

Great time last night

Dec 08

We had a great turnout for the potluck and yankee gift swap last night! It was a lot of fun and all the company warmed our house on a cold night.

Dinner was delightful featuring racks of ribs, a pork roast, latkes, a veggie platter, chips and dip, muffins, banana bread, pizza, gingerbread men, and some really delicious deviled eggs topped with bacon and chives.

The yankee gift swap was huge with 25 participants and by some weird magic 26 gifts. The more popular items were the ammo, which changed hands a few times, a bottle of homemade maple vinegar, and gifts bags with chocolate and body butter. There was also some Armada gear, margarita mixes, a much coveted and fiercely guarded mini Foosball table, an easel, a game called Doggie Doo, books, a beer can chicken roasting set, seeds and more.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night. Y’all come back now, y’hear?

edit: The original version of this post neglected to mention the latkes which were addictively delicious.

Sheesh – the latkes didn’t even warrant mention?

No, the latkes totally warrant mention. They were delicious. I ate like 10 of them. I have no idea how I forgot them when writing this post.
