Bardo Farm

Freedom Never Tasted So Good

About Us

Dec 13

Bardo Farm is an off-the-grid family farm focusing on permaculture using a balance of livestock, gardening, maple sugaring, foraging, forestry, and more.

We raise a broad range of animals and grow a variety of vegetables. Currently, our pigs and chickens rule the farm (the chickens in numbers, the pigs in attitude). But we are always open to introducing new animals and projects.

Our gardens are organic. Our animals are free range, woodland- and pasture-raised, cage-free, and people-friendly due to the attention and love we give them.

Our goal is to raise happy, healthy animals, and we are always seeking ways to improve our methods and their quality of life.

——–

Bardo is owned and operated by Neil & Emily Smith and Ian & Jody Underwood.  The four of us moved to New Hampshire in September 2007. We bought a large property with an off-the-grid house so we could pursue our own “bardo”.  We have since started breeding pigs and rabbits and raising calves, turkeys, and chickens.

Bardo is located at 92 Forehand Road in Croydon, NH.

I’d like to buy some rabbit meat. How do you ship it? (i.e., is it frozen? do I need to be home when it arrives?)

I live nearby, in Plainfield. Shipping might be more convenient for me, but I could come to the farm also.

    Thanks,

    Gilliam

    Hi,
I’m wondering if you all have any piglets for sale this year? Or know of anyone else who might be selling? We’re looking for three.
    Thanks,
    Regina

      Hi Regina,

I’m sorry, but we don’t have any piglets for sale yet. You can check back in a month — we may have some available then.

      Thanks for contacting us,
      Jody

We are looking to purchase 3 piglets. Someone from the NH Farm and Gardens FB page suggested you. Do you still have any available and if so what is the price? Thanks so much!
